Qiteng Therapy: Facilitating Smooth Signal Transmission

1. Understanding PCOS: A Story About Communication

The essence of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) might be summed up in one word: disconnection.
Not a physical disconnection – the ovaries are still there, and the brain is still working. Rather, it is a disconnection at the signal level – the commands issued by the brain fail to reach the ovaries completely, clearly, and in a timely manner.

This “disconnection” does not happen overnight. It is a gradual process: at first, occasional signal delays; then, frequent signal attenuation; and later, persistent signal distortion. When the signals weaken beyond a certain threshold, the ovaries can no longer “hear” the brain’s instructions – they begin to operate on their own rhythm, which is often out of sync with the body’s overall needs.

As a result, menstruation becomes irregular, follicular development stalls, and hormone levels go awry. This does not mean the ovaries are “broken”; it means they have not “received the message.”

2. How Do Signals Gradually Attenuate?

2.1 Cervical Spine – The First "Attenuator"

The cervical spine is the first stop for brain commands after they leave the head. The cervical nerve plexuses are dense and delicate, and prolonged poor posture, improper sleeping habits, and repetitive neck strain can cause cumulative damage to the cervical spine.

When cervical spine issues arise, neural conduction in the neck can be compromised. Much like a cable that has been repeatedly bent, the internal wires may not be severed, but the quality of signal transmission is already significantly degraded.

2.2 Lumbar Spine – The Second "Attenuator"

After passing through the first attenuator (the cervical spine), the signals continue downward to the lumbar region.

The lumbar spine is the neural control centre for the pelvic organs. Lumbar muscle strain, disc problems, and abnormal lumbar curvature can all interfere with neural conduction in this area. When signals pass through the lumbar region, they encounter a second attenuator.

With these two attenuators in series, by the time the original clear commands reach the ovaries, they have become blurred and incomplete. The ovaries receive fragmented information – they no longer know precisely when to secrete hormones, when to initiate ovulation, or when to stop.

2.3 Meridian Obstructions – Ubiquitous "Signal Interference"

In addition to these two structural checkpoints (cervical and lumbar spine), obstructions in the meridian system also contribute significantly to signal attenuation.

Meridians are the channels through which qi and blood circulate. When the meridians are blocked, the flow of qi and blood is hindered. Signals not only have to pass through the physical checkpoints of the cervical and lumbar spine but also need to travel smoothly along the “information highway” of the meridians. If the highway is littered with obstacles, both the speed and quality of signal transmission will suffer.

3. Qiteng Therapy: Facilitating Smooth Signal Transmission

3.1 Clearing Obstacles – Expelling Stagnant Substances and Dredging Meridians

The first step of Qiteng Therapy is to clear obstructions from the meridians.

Through the sustained application of warm herbal vapour, metabolic accumulations lodged in the meridians are gradually broken down. These substances are expelled through the skin pores in the form of tiny particles, forming visible scabs that eventually fall off.

Once the blockages are cleared, the meridians regain their patency. Signals travelling through the meridians no longer encounter extra obstacles, and both transmission efficiency and quality are improved.

3.2 Repairing Checkpoints – Improving the Condition of the Cervical and Lumbar Spine

The second step of Qiteng Therapy is to improve the condition of the cervical and lumbar spine – the two “signal checkpoints”.

By applying warm herbal vapour to the cervical and lumbar regions, local blood circulation is enhanced, muscle tension is relieved, and pressure on nerves is reduced. These two attenuators are gradually restored, so that signals passing through them undergo less degradation.

3.3 Boosting Signals – Activating the Body's Self‑Healing Capacity

The third step of Qiteng Therapy is to activate the body’s own self‑healing abilities.

The human body already possesses an inherent capacity for self‑repair. When the meridians are unobstructed, the checkpoints are restored, and signals flow freely, this self‑healing capacity can be re‑activated. The body can then rebalance its endocrine system, restore normal ovarian rhythms, and re‑establish the appropriate physiological cycles on its own.

This is not an externally imposed change, but a restoration of the body’s internal order.

4. From Disconnection to Dialogue: A Gradual Process

Restoring the signal‑transmission pathway is not an instantaneous event.

Improving the cervical and lumbar spine takes time. Clearing meridian obstructions is a progressive process. Activating the body’s self‑healing capacity requires patience.

But every small improvement matters. As pressure on the cervical spine is reduced by a fraction, signal attenuation at that checkpoint decreases by a fraction. As the lumbar spine condition improves, the clarity of signals reaching the ovaries increases. As meridian blockages are cleared, the smoothness of signal transmission improves.

These incremental changes accumulate and eventually lead to a qualitative shift. When signals change from blurred to clear, from intermittent to continuous, from distorted to accurate – the ovaries can once again “hear” the brain’s voice.

They begin to act according to instructions: hormone secretion regains its rhythm, follicular development normalises, and the menstrual cycle gradually returns to regularity.

This is not simply a “treatment outcome”; it is the result of restored communication.

Closing Thoughts: Letting the Body Re‑engage in Dialogue

PCOS has been a concern for many. Along the path to finding solutions, people have tried various approaches.

Qiteng Therapy offers a different perspective: the challenge may not reside in the ovaries themselves, but rather in the “communication lines” between the brain and the ovaries.

By repairing these lines, enabling signals to flow freely, and ensuring that brain commands reach the ovaries clearly – when the dialogue is restored, the body will naturally respond.

This is the core philosophy of Qiteng Therapy: not to replace the body’s functions, but to help the body regain them; not to force changes, but to remove obstacles for the body’s own self‑repair.

When the signals are connected, the body knows what to do.
